Online cheats: Malaysia’s worrying trend of ‘fake’ degrees

An Al Jazeera documentary on fictitious university online portals uncovered the shocking news that across the globe, thousands of people are employed in safety-critical jobs while holding bogus qualifications. And one Kuala Lumpur-based private investigation firm Akhbar & Associates estimates that one in 20 recruitments in Malaysia are based on bogus qualifications. Julian Hall reports.
